Matt has been in photography for over 15 years in all kinds of environments; from underwater to aerial, international corporate and journalistic. He has worked extensively with tourism associations around the Asia Pacific region, as well as resorts, and in 2022 was The Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year for monochrome.

His particular passion is black and white underwater photography, as well as general wildlife photography.
 

At the same time as pursuing his own passion for taking images, he runs a full time photography workshop business.

“I believe everyone has the ability to create beautiful images with the right advice and a focus on simplicity. I run photography workshops that put the focus on real learning rather than simply getting pretty pictures. They are about showing you a different way of seeing things and giving you practical tools to capture the world around you.”
