Doug has been diving since 1974 and, as a photographer, he has traveled the globe documenting the underwater world. He is a scuba instructor, teaching all levels of diving from open circuit to CCR trimix.
When not underwater, Doug is an interventional cardiologist at the Watson Clinic in Lakeland, Florida where he specialises in coronary and structural heart interventions.
He has published extensively, and his current research interests include the relationship between decompression sickness and patent foramen ovale (PFO) and diving with coronary artery disease.
