OZTek2017 Underwater Photographic Competition &
the Nikon Dive Portfolio of the Year

2017 saw the seventh OZTek Underwater Photographic Competition. We were very excited to introduce the inaugural Nikon Dive Portfolio of the Year. See below for details.
Along with awesome prizes, winners' images were printed and displayed in the Georges Cameras Image Centre as part of the Underwater Photographic Exhibition, as well as being available on the Website & Facebook, for everyone to admire. 

The OZTek Underwater Photographic Competition and the Nikon Dive Portfolio of the Year welcomes entries from divers with an imagination, a camera and a willingness to share their discoveries and experiences with others.

OZTek Underwater Photographic Competition:

Entries must fall within the scope of one or other of the following categories:

Wreck - An image taken that includes an image of a wreck, or part thereof, with or without a diver

Nikon Dive Portfolio of the YearNikon Dive Portfolio of the Year 2017

The inaugural Nikon Dive Portfolio of the Year will be a chosen collection of six (6) images.

Competition entrants can enter up to six images from three (3) out of five (5) of the existing competition categories.

Our competition judges will be looking for the following criteria when choosing the Nikon Portfolio of the Year:

‘The portfolio needs to demonstrate clarity of vision and artistic intent to produce an inspirational body of work from three out of the five standard OZTek Underwater Photography Competition categories. Portfolio images should show breadth of skill with different underwater photography styles (e.g. wide angle, macro etc.), lighting techniques and subject matter while illustrating the passion, dedication and expertise needed to create a consistent collection of captivating images’.

OZTek2017 Underwater Photography Competition Prizes:

Prizes will continue to be updated - to view the prizes on offer so far click here.

Winners will have their images printed and exhibited at OZTek2017 staged at Australian Technology Park, Sydney, Australia on the weekend of the March 18 - 19, 2017.
